The eShop re-releases of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow will work with Pokemon Bank

Despite the disappointment of a rather shallow Nintendo Direct, there was one very important detail that Pokemon fans should be excited about. The upcoming eShop re-releases of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow, which come out tomorrow on the 27th, will allow you to transfer your monsters into Pokemon Bank so that they can be used in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

This is an awesome feature that will finally connect the classic Pokemon games we know and love to the modern generation. Though how exactly this will work (given the fact that Pokemon now have Natures) remains to be seen. Perhaps players will be able to choose their natures, similar to the battle simulator, Pokemon Showdown. Or it could just be a random generator.

Now if Nintendo could just reveal what exactly Pokemon Sun and Moon are, I’ll be happy.
